Método Terapéutico en Agua

Yoga is a very old discipline, recognized by its valuable capacity to obtain concentration and focus, based on the basic principle of the breathing. Yoga in addition obtains a connection between the body and the mind that turns it healing, relaxing and energizing. The deep and fluidly breathing make the body’s energy to oxygenate and lubricate the muscles and conjunctures.

The aquatic exercise is recognized by science to provide the more complete corporal movement. The breathing is a basic principle of swimming, which aids the muscle toning and oxygen fluid simultaneously. When exercising in the water a deep connection without the dramatic force impact is established, this is not experienced by the body because of the floating effect.

Based on these principles aquatic yoga is designed to maximize the movements and healings of yoga, that help to obtain balance, flexibility and strength in the water. Taking in consideration that the water maintains a 90% of the weight, any person that cannot do yoga or other exercises because of health reasons or corporal trauma, can do AcuaYoga.

During the sessions of AcuaYoga the person stays in the surface with floating accessories. The flexibility that is obtained by concept of the flotation allows the exploration of movements, rotations and extensions, including for those people who do not know how to swim. It has been proven that because of this, the people who suffer of chronic conditions, manage to feel active and motivated which improves its self-esteem while they strengthen their body.

The AcuaYoga is perfect for people with conditions such as chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, Parkinson, passive senior citizens, cancer patients, back problems, rheumatoid arthritis, post trauma, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, ADHD, autism and other conditions. Said by the experts, hydrotherapy provides up to 12 times more resistance than in earth, freedom of expression and movement, and obtains an optimal connection between body and mind.

The AcuaYoga has become a discipline welcomed in the aquatic centers like sport, recreational and therapeutic activity accessible for all type of persons. Before beginning a program, consult with your doctor and/or our instructor of AcuaYoga, Mrs. Debbie Torruellas, to take care of any recommendation or personal restriction to participate in AcuaYoga.
